Training Clinic and Orientation for New Officials
When: Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 6:30 PM
Where: Liberty Diversified Industries Conference and Training Room (Enter door on South side of building)
5600 North Highway 169
New Hope, MN
This Clinic will prepare new Stroke and Turn Judges for certification. It will cover the following:
1. Steps to complete for certification.
2. What officials do at Swim Competition.
3. The philosophy officials go by.
4. Expectations of officials.
When can/should officials work.
Uniform and dress.
Organization of deck officials at meets.
Conduct and protocol on the deck.
5. Judging the competition.
A review of the Rules of Competition.
Viewing the USA Swimming video on the Rules.
The Clinic will take two and onehalf hours and will conclude at 9:00 PM.
There is no preparation required for the clinic. Just register and attend.
